August 14th, 2023 – Battlefield Press International and Strange Machine Games have agreed to a restructured partnership and license agreement for the Robotech TTRPG for Savage Worlds. Strange Machine Games (SMG), which holds the license from Harmony Gold to produce Robotech tabletop role playing games, will produce the Savage Robotech Role Playing Game with the release of their upcoming “Omnibus edition”. With this change, Battlefield Press International will take over responsibilities for Savage Worlds support material for the setting, including adventure modules.
In 2019, Battlefield Press International released Robotech: A Macross Saga Role Playing Game (SWAdE, Revised). “Battlefield Press appreciates the opportunity provided by SMG and the trust given to us to continue to support role playing in the Robotech universe,” says Adam R. Thompson, President, and Publisher of Battlefield Press International.
This new contract announcement includes an addition to the Battlefield Press leadership team. Jeffrey Webb is joining the Battlefield Press team as the co-Line Developer for Savage Robotech. Jeffrey starts in this role at the end of August 2023.
